The Bath Iron Works Information Technology team is seeking a dynamic individual with diverse and progressive IT leadership experience to assume the role of IT Business Relationship Manager.  In this role, the successful candidate will lead a team responsible for the following:  - Building strong, collaborative relationships with business clients & IT service owners. - Track client satisfaction with services provided and develop continuous improvement plans based on feedback. - Ensure that effective communication occurs related to service delivery and project delivery. - Manage the expectations and priorities of multiple business stakeholders. - Provide clear points of contact within IT for each business stakeholder. - Act as a bridge between IT and the business. - Ensure alignment of IT priorities with overall business objectives.

This position will work as a Jira Developer on the IT Collaboration Services team, with a primary focus on delivery of Jira workflow solutions.   The Specialist will apply their knowledge of BIW processes and practices, and understanding of Jira capabilities, tools, and best practices, to align business goals with software capabilities. The Specialist will analyze and define requirements, develop and deploy Jira solutions of moderate complexity, and assist in the definition and deployment of more complex solutions.   This position requires an understanding of both BIW business process and Jira capabilities and development methods. The successful candidate will have experience in one of the two areas, with training to be provided in the other area, i.e. we will consider candidates with BIW experience and will provide Jira development training, or we will consider experienced Jira developers and will provide BIW process training.   The Specialist will work under the guidance of more experienced Jira developers and the Manager of IT Collaboration Services, and within established governance policies and development practices. They will assist in further developing and revising policies and practices to reflect growing Jira deployments and use cases.   The Specialist will be expected to: - Apply communication and problem-solving skills to actively assist the business on issues related to the design, development, deployment, and operation of Jira solutions. - Educate and train customers on guidelines or processes as needed, develop training content (webinars, documents, videos), and execute online and onsite training. - Collaborate with business users to identify acceptance criteria and potential test scenarios and ensure testing efforts align with delivered functionality. - Contribute to the vision and execution of Collaboration Services, including Jira, SharePoint, and Office 365 adoption across the organization. - Build, configure, and maintain Jira workflows, Dashboards, reports, and documentation. - Provide production support for Jira workflows.

The Life Cycle Engineering Department supports the design, construction, and test of in-service Navy DDG 51 and DDG 1000 Class surface combatants in multiple locations around the world. This position supports the DDG 51 Class Planning Yard Combat System/C4I Program.   The scope of responsibilities includes, but is not limited to: - Review of ship alteration SIDs, Liaison Action Requests (LAR), and Reverse LARs, for impact to C4I Patching and Switching (Switching Center, Patch Panel, Port Concentrator Unit, etc), requirements, and develop GSO compliant patch panel design. - Provide Patching and Switching requirement support to the fleet, PY home port teammates and RMC’s during ship availabilities. - Review 2 Kilos for Patching and Switching impact. - Review assigned Patching and Switching Functional Engineering Analysis Requests (FEARs) and provide responses that support SID schedules. - Maintain repositories of new construction Patching and Switching configuration and update to suit specific modernized ship configurations. - Manage Configuration of COMM Cabinet’s PDP labels. - Interface with all PY supervisors, engineers, work leaders, designers in the local office and at PY’s offsite locations.  

Project Manager for complex capital investment projects at BIW facilities. Directs, facilitates, and oversees the development and implementation of new facility as well as major upgrades. Responsible to lead the development of project specifications, including applicable internal and external standards, project deliverables, forming a project team, leadership of design build bid process, management of cost and schedule, inclusion of production requirements, maintenance requirements, selection of equipment, determining construction sequencing, utility requirements, management of contractor upon project award, coordination of project subject matter experts, development and oversite of quality assurance and control, leadership of progress meetings, development of project reporting and communication to the organization. This position requires sound project management and construction management. Project / Construction Management - Leads project controls efforts for this project, including planning, estimating, cost control including forecasting and cash flow. - Includes all project stakeholders, develops milestone timeline consistent with the scope and budgeted spend. - Manages associated design consultants, construction contractors, and vendors related to assigned projects. - Serves as project lead of assigned projects with support from engineers, construction manager, procurement lead, and other key project team members. - Assumes a leadership role in working with staff to identify and mitigate construction impacts and operational issues, and insure compliance with all safety procedures and policies. - Actively works with contractors on BIW's behalf in a construction manager role to facilitate execution of improvement projects.

The Test & Evaluation (T&E) Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the T&E Section Manager in successfully supporting the Ship Compressive Plan, and assisting in the development and maintenance of all T&E documentation for all Programs.   The successful candidate will perform duties that include, but are not limited to the following: - Work closely with the various BIW Programs, BIW Manufacturing, sub-contractors, certifying agencies, and Navy personnel throughout the development, execution and approval cycle of each test program. - Manage the change and incorporation process for all ship program test procedures, trials demonstrations, and test indexes. - Provide and maintain scoping and initial review of all changes for the potential impact to tests and T&E products. - Manage and coordinate the change incorporation of all authorized and applicable impacts to tests and T&E products. - Sea Trials Support: - Assist the Trials Coordinator in the preparation of the Schedule of Events (SOE), supporting the mission readiness reviews, and execution of the trials events both dockside and at sea. - Assist the Trials team in reviewing and administrating the INSURV demonstration documents, At-Sea Stage Tests, and supporting test data. - Manage the Trials Center during ship trials, and serve as a liaison between the Trials Coordinators, SSBA, INSURV, Program Office, and Chief Test Engineer. - Help resolve emergent production test and demo issues. - Assist in the development and maintenance of all T&E responsible documents including the Ship Comprehensive Test Plan, test reports, test change proposals, trials agendas and brochures, trials reports, and test status reports. - Assist the T&E Section Manager to achieve cost, schedule and quality objectives. The pay range for this position ranges from $24.50/hr - $25.50/hr.   This is an entry level position (grades 1-3) to work in the Machinist Trade. Applicants may be assigned any M04 Trade tasks, but will initially be assigned basic machine operations including (but not limited to): saws, drills, drill presses, grinders, de-burring etc., or to assist more experienced Machinists operating more complex equipment.

The pay range for this position ranges from $27.50/hr - $30.55/hr.   This is an experienced position to work in the Machinist Trade. Machinists primarily set-up and operate machine shop equipment including (but not limited to): lathes, radial drills, grinders, presses, punch presses, cut-off saws, milling machines, HBM, VTL, rolls, sheers, brakes, and burning machines. Applicants hired into this position shall generally be able to operate most equipment with minimal training based on prior experience, including CNC operated equipment. Machinists may be assigned any of the Machinist Trade tasks.

The pay range for this position ranges from $24.50hr - $25.50/hr.   This is an entry level position to work in the Outside Machinist Trade. Applicants may be assigned any O04 Trade tasks, but will initially be assigned basic operations including (but not limited to) tacking, layout, drilling, equipment installations, or to assist more experienced Outside Machinists in complex job assignments.    

The pay range for this position ranges from $26/hr - $27/hr. This is a mid-level experience position to work in the Tinsmith Trade. The IT Procurement Sr. Supervisor will directly oversee Information Technology sourcing across the category.
