Responsible for understanding, documenting and supporting compliance of Bath Iron Works (BIW) key financial processes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) regulations. Job duties will fall into one of the following 3 categories:   Change Management Successful candidates will be expected to interpret design products and provide scoping/trade routing guidance to other planners for MACPAC input. Principle responsibilities will include the following:  - Develop class plan and the production bill of material (PBOM). - Process design change - Develop, maintain and adhere to PBOM scoping guidelines - Interrogate PBOM as built by hourly personnel and provide direction to remedy errors - Ensure adherence to PBOM scoping guidelines - Communicate with Engineering and Design to resolve problems   Production Control As a member of the Production Control team, the candidate will contribute to the development of detailed build plans and schedules, as well as providing planning support to operations.  Successful candidates will be expected to work collaboratively with production personnel, designers, engineers, and other planners to develop integrated production plans and schedules.  Candidate will be expected to effectively manage the execution of planning tasks in accordance with program cost and schedule targets. Other planning functions the candidate may be asked to perform include: - Develop total schedules for assigned area. - Communicate total schedules to Production Management and solicit feedback. When necessary, provide feedback to Trade Planning for incorporation into scoping guidelines. - Develop visual display controls for production shop floor. - Coordinate material readiness with Material Control to support total schedule. - Coordinate and administer Build Plan Reviews (BPR) and After Block Reviews (ABR). Job will principally occur within an office environment, with regular trips into the shipyard and/or onboard ships.   Cost Analyst Successful candidate will be responsible for budget time phasing, budget transfers, and manual work package progressing for test & activation as well as the support services production accounts.  Responsible for preparation, verification, and distribution of accurate and timely planning, budgeting, and reporting products, in accordance with department managers in implementation of policy. Produce metrics and perform analytical work using Microsoft Office products, Project Management and Earned Value Management software to aid BIW's functional organizations in the successful execution of ship construction. Work effectively with other support organizations to ensure plans are properly integrated with all support functions. Effectively communicate analysis of performance with functional organizations and, if required, make well-reasoned and actionable recommendations.
