The Dry Dock Engineer will be the maintenance and technical expert on the systems on Floating Drydock #3. Responsible to the Dockmaster for the day-to-day management of a multi-disciplinary crew conducting maintenance, repair, and operation of BIW’s Floating Dry Dock #3. Shall act as a backup for the Dockmaster when he is not present, overseeing waterfront safety and operations within the shipyard.  Applicants must be able and willing to work and train towards certification as a floating dry dock FOS IAW USN MILSTD 1625D. Ability to self-manage and take initiative; must be a self-starter requiring limited supervision.  

Pay range for this position is $27.83/hr to $29.98/hr.   This is an experienced level position to work in the Sandblasting Trade.  Applicants may be assigned any S06 Trade tasks, including (but not limited to): blasting, tending, grit removal, set-up of equipment, building tents, machine repair, operation of mobile equipment, and snow/ice removal.
