Job Description
- Plan, organize, and coordinate work of mechanics on crew.
- Ensure quality and timeliness of work is completed within budgeted parameters.
- Assign and status MACPAC work orders/coordinate operational schedule.
- Support and administer labor contract for L6 & L7 and ensure safety regulations.
- Communicate with other supervisors to help achieve and maintain smooth work flow and high degree of productivity.
- Use electronic Time Accounting System (WFM) to maintain employees' time and overtime daily.
- Work with Supply Chain to ensure vendor adherence.
Required/Preferred Education/Training
- High School diploma or GED required, graduate Apprentice preferred.
Required/Preferred Experience
- 1+ supervisory experience required.
- Industrial equipment experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of BMCS, MACPAC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Previous supervisory experience in a production environment is desired.
- Strong PC skills including familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and the ability to learn all other BIW required systems.
- Ability to work independently, identify and drive process improvement projects / initiatives.
