The Test & Evaluation (T&E) Assistant Engineer is responsible for supporting the Mechanical Engineering T&E department in successfully supporting the Ship Comprehensive Test Plan.
The successful candidate will perform duties that include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop, witness, evaluate, submit, and maintain stage 2 installation and 3-7 operational Combat Systems tests involving Ordnance Handling, and Electronics/Communications Systems.
- Support Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, and Combat Systems testing during various ship activation periods, including sea trials.
- Provide test support to multiple ship programs.
- Research ECP's (change proposals) for impact to the test program.
- Work closely with manufacturing, ATT and Navy personnel throughout the development, execution, and approval cycle of the test program.
- Help resolve emergent test procedure issues on the deck plates.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of all T&E BMDA responsible documents.
