Reports to the DDG 51 Planning Yard Design Manager.
- This role is responsible for leading all DDG 51 Planning Yard modeling, design validation, advanced planning, projects, fabrication, label plates, process development and improvement, library parts, and materials activities and overseeing all employees assigned.
Primary responsibilities:
- Communicate with the DDG 51 Planning Yard Design Manager and peers regarding any obstacles, or issues with assigned tasks.
- Coordinate with peers to ensure tasking is assigned in accordance with resource availability (skill, ability and discipline).
- Ensure that all assigned teams accurately progress each task to facilitate precise metrics.
- Support formal progress meetings and informal status sessions by ensuring that the appropriate team representatives are in attendance.
- Review reports, identify deficiencies and provide recovery plans.
- Provide project updates regularly to stakeholders.
- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
- Develop and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
- Ensure that assigned tasks stay on schedule and are produced with the highest quality possible.
- Promote a safe work environment with all recognizable hazards corrected.
- Enforce all company policies, procedures and all relevant CBAs.
- Ensure that WFM administrative duties are completed on time daily.
- Monitor cost, schedule, and quality metrics to identify employee development opportunities.
