Responsibilities include:
- Plan, organize, and manage work for Electrical mechanics
- Ensure safe work conditions and adherence to safety requirements/regulations
- Ensure construction schedule adherence and cost accounting
- Ensure first time quality of all work accomplished
- Assign, status, and manage work orders; coordinate operational schedules
- Understand, support, and administer the union labor contract
- Communicate with fellow supervisors to help achieve a smooth work flow and a high degree of productivity
- Use electronic Time Accounting System (WFM) to maintain employees time, overtime, and work order charges on a daily basis
High School Diploma or GED required Graduate apprentice preferred
Previous electrical/technical schooling preferred
Required:
- Solid understanding of shipbuilding and/or manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work history of positive working relationships with peers
Preferred:
- At least two years of Marine Electrical experience
- Previous supervisory experience in a production environment
- Understanding of MACPAC system
