Responsibilities include: Plan, organize, and manage work for Electrical mechanics. Ensure safe work conditions and adherence to safety requirements/regulations. Ensure construction schedule adherence and cost accounting. Ensure first time quality of all work accomplished. Assign, status, and manage work orders; coordinate operational schedules. Understand, support, and administer the union labor contract. Communicate with fellow supervisors to help achieve a smooth work flow and a high degree of productivity. Use electronic Time Accounting System (TAS) to maintain employees time, overtime, and work order charges on a daily basis.
High School Diploma or GED required Graduate apprentice preferred
Previous electrical/technical schooling preferred
Two (2) years of Marine Electrical experience preferred.
Previous supervisory experience in a production environment preferred.
Solid understanding of shipbuilding and/or manufacturing processes required.
Understanding of MACPAC system preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Work history of positive working relationships with peers required.
