  • Job Description

    Marine Designer positions at the following levels:
    1st Class Designer: $25.27 - $29.92
    - Perform marine design activities that include but are not limited to 3D modeling & visualization
    - Resolution of design related problems encountered during ship construction that may involve occasional ship-checking
    - Electronic drafting of installation & fabrication drawings plus Revision Notices
    - Extraction of computer aided manufacturing data

    Required/Preferred Education/Training

    Excellent computer skills (e.g., demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tools) required.
    Demonstrated Proficiency in CATIA, Solid Works, or other Similar 3-D CAD Software Required.
    Ability to read, interpret and follow technical procedures, standards and work instructions required.
    Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment required.

    Required/Preferred Experience

    1st Class Designer - Minimum of seven (7) years marine design or technically related design experience OR Technically related Bachelors/Associates with five (5) years marine design or technically related experience.

    Proficiency required in one or more of the following disciplines required:
    • Electrical
    • Pipe
    • Hull Outfit
    • Ventilation
    • Structural
